Mentoring

What is my approach to working with a new client?

Usually, we begin with a 30 minute “chemistry conversation” where I find about your career (trajectory, ambitions, issues); outline what you can expect from me and how we can work together; and answer any questions you might have. We can do this on the phone, via video call or in person. I offer this chemistry session free of charge.

Following the chemistry conversation, I will send you a summary of what we discussed (the context, your key issues and goals for our work together) and suggest some options for how we could together. These will be tailored to your issues and preferences, but could include

- a fixed price package defined in terms of the results you want to achieve over a period of 3, 6 of 12 months. This covers as many mentoring sessions as you wish, plus help with things like refining your CV, writing effective cover letters, interview preparation

- a package of 4 or 6 sessions (of 60 or 90 minutes each) structured around specific goals, including exercises for you to work through between sessions

- or our work could evolve more organically, one session at a time.

I prefer to meet face-to-face, especially for the first full session, but I’m happy to meet via a video call if that’s easier. I always enjoy working outside, either sitting down or walking and talking, so that is an option to consider.
