Hi, I’m Michael
I’m an executive coach and mentor, accredited with the International Coaching Federation. I have more than 20 years experience in senior leadership roles in the UK civil service, in a “Big 4” professional services firm and the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC. I started my professional life as an economist working on public policy issues and progressed into analyst leadership roles. I increasingly found my purpose and job satisfaction in helping my colleagues to develop, and this led me become a coach and mentor after I retired from the IMF in 2023.
I have hundreds of hours experience in coaching, mentoring and developing people. I have worked with clients from the BBC, FTI Consulting, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Monetary Fund, various UK government departments (Cabinet Office, DWP, DfT and MHCLG), the National Audit Office, local government (including the London Boroughs of Lambeth, and Wandsworth and Richmond), Octopus Energy, and Pinsent Masons LLP.
I have a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Henley Business School. I am certified with the International Coaching Federation (ACC or Associate Cerfified Coach level) and a member of the Association for Coaching. I subscribe to the ICF and AC Professional Codes.
